McCarthy’s Restaurant & Pub
187 Tequesta Drive
Tequesta, FL • (561) 744-2383
What a delightfully charming restaurant! You’ll certainly imagine yourself in the English countryside in this cheerful, rustic Tudor-style pub with shelves brimming with book and knick-knacks, and its large, spacious dining rooms. Service is warm and friendly, and the food... wholesome and tasty!

McCarthy’s Pub sports a varied menu with nightly dinner specials — try a different one every day of the week!
Breads, soups, desserts are all homemade and delicious!

A basket of warm, homemade scones and rolls were served immediately with plenty of butter. The scones were so good that we asked for more! Little did we know how large the portions were!

The soup du jour was potato-leek… thick and creamy and flavored with herbs. The onion rings were hot and crunchy — a very generous portion!

Shepherd’s Pie — an English favorite — nicely seasoned ground beef topped with a generous layer of mashed potatoes and served with a light brown gravy was superb – a huge portion, served with the vegetable du jour.

Roast Prime Rib, roasted to perfection, was served perfectly rare, as requested, with Yorkshire pudding, lots of au jus gravy, and horseradish sauce on the side. King-sized, as well as queen-sized portions are available.

Chicken Pot Pie with a huge high-hat crust was mouth-watering good, with large chunks of chicken and vegetables in a herb-flavored cream sauce.

All entrees are served with seasoned rice or choice of potato, vegetable du jour, and a choice of soup, tossed salad or hearts of lettuce (with a lovely selection of dressings), homemade English scones and sesame seeded rolls.

Even though we were filled to the brim, we had to try the homemade desserts! Coconut custard pie was scrumptious — light and creamy, with a graham cracker crust. The chocolate cream pie had a flaky crust and was topped with fresh whipped cream and chocolate shavings — chocolate lovers should definitely not miss this one! Both desserts were delicious, and not too filling, to top off a great meal!

Catering to a mature palate, McCarthy’s Pub has something for every taste – from beef, chicken, or veal to fresh fish and seafood!
