| The
Crab House is a legend in South Florida, and understandably so! We dined
on their spacious outdoor deck overlooking Jupiter Inlet, just across
from the Jupiter Lighthouse. The atmosphere is lively and casual, with
live music that you’ll want to dance to! Surrounded by local history,
The Crab House offers a lovely way to spend an evening! The food is delicious — freshly
prepared and handsomely served to your order. We started with Coconut Shrimpmoist and tender shrimp with a crispy coconut coating, accompanied by a tangy dipping sauce. The shrimp cocktail had five very large shrimp, also cooked perfectly, served with cocktail sauce — a very good value. The onion rings were thinly sliced, breaded and deep fried with slices of jalepeno pepper — the best we’ve had anywhere! The New England clam chowder was loaded with tender clams, flavored with fresh bacon, and finished with fresh cream. Our verdict so far? Excellent! We couldn’t wait for our entrees – and we were not disappointed! The Lobster Combination — half a broiled Maine lobster stuffed with Crab Imperial, accompanied by Alaskan Snow Crab — was served with seasoned roasted potatoes. The lobster was moist and succulent, the snow crab tender and delectable, with lots of melted butter for dipping! The Broiled Combo Dinner offered a little of everything — moist, flaky salmon filet, five large shrimp and scallops, served on a bed of seasoned rice was perfectly prepared and scrumptious! Tossed or Caesar Salad is served with every entree. The Crab House menu offers a large selection of the freshest fish and seafood, as well as pasta dishes and steak — served alone or with snow crab, fried shrimp, or scampi — something for every palate! There’s also a large selection of specialty drinks — potent stuff — try one if you dare! A lovely selection of pies, cakes and sherbets are available for dessert. The Key Lime Pie was both sweet and tart and light — just as it should be! Whether you’re dining alone, as a couple, or in a large group — ready for a delightful dinner or just a snack — The Crab House offers good food and a fun-filled atmosphere! Stop in for Happy Hour, Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm to enjoy great drinks and appetizer specials. The Manatee Queen, offering several types of cruises (information is available at the restaurant), now leaves from The Crab House, so be sure to stop there before or after your cruise, for lunch or dinner to top off a wonderful day! Handicapped access. |
