| We
had the distinct pleasure of dining at Charley’s Crab — and it
was, indeed, superb! From the moment we were seated at our spacious table
on the covered patio with a lovely view of Jupiter Inlet, right through
a marvelous meal, we were constantly delighted by everything we ordered – both
the presentation of the dishes and the taste of the food and drink were
wonderful! And the service was sublime! The menu is extremely varied, offering numerous specials, as well as specialty drinks. The several different kinds of martinis are served in a stemless martini glass nestled in a huge bowl of crushed ice — absolutely gorgeous — you must try one! We started with the Millenium Appetizer Sampler — monsoon shrimp, clams casino, portobello oysters, and calamari — served with three sauces… a soy dipping sauce, a ginger sauce, and cocktail sauce. Marvelous! The Crabmeat Cocktail was, indeed, a huge serving of succulent lump crabmeat (no shells here!) with spicy cocktail sauce — just right! The Lobster Bisque was rich, smooth and delicious. Florida Stone Crabs — huge, meaty claws (one full pound) were served with mustard sauce and spicy Asian noodles — a lovely combination! The Herb Crusted Halibut and the Salmon Rockefeller were spectacular as well. The fish is “just-caught” fresh and supremely well prepared! Best known for their fresh fish and seafood, Charley’s Crab also offers a good selection of homemade pasta, as well as hand-cut meats such as filet mignon, and chicken dishes. No packaged hand wipes here! Hot towels and lemon slices were proffered individually by our server. Too full for dessert? Oh, no! Make sure you leave some room! The cherry cheesecake is served with fresh bing cherry sauce, whipped cream, and a garnish of fresh mint. The creme brulée with banana was delectable! And the apple/peach deep-dish pie, served with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon sauce was outrageous! Coffee was delicious, and a choice of several specialty coffees are available, as well as liquors, brandies, and cognacs. Whether dining as a couple or in a large group, Charley’s Crab offers a splendid dining experience. If you love food, you’ll love Charley’s Crab! Valet parking is available. Handicapped access. |
